FUTURE FACILITY NEEDS 7.3 PROJECTED ENROLLMENTS (see the Enrollments & Capacity section for a full analysis) Immediate and Forecasted Projected Enrollment Needs: To be handled with relocatables: ELEMENTARY • A School Boundary Adjustment will be implemented in the 2025-2026 school year to better balance enrollments at the elementary level across all locations. • Beaver Run Elementary - A two classroom addition is in design anticipated to open August 2026. 4 classroom relocatable in 2025. • East Salisbury Elementary - Senior Leadership will make recommendations to the BOE regarding necessary enrollment changes based upon fall 2025 enrollments. • Prince Street Elementary - Senior Leadership will make recommendations to the BOE regarding necessary enrollment changes based upon fall 2025 enrollments. 2 single classroom relocatable in 2024. SECONDARY • The School Boundary Adjustment being implemented in the 2025-2026 school year will have minor impacts to enrollments at the secondary level to align feeder patterns. • High school capacity remains a concern as the enrollment bubble is in the high schools. Capacity will be monitored as we move into fall 2025. • Parkside High - Enrollments should be monitored closely and Senior Leadership will make recommendations to the BOE regarding necessary enrollment changes based upon fall 2025 enrollments. • Wicomico High - Enrollments should be monitored closely and Senior Leadership will make recommendations to the BOE. 2 single classroom relocatable in 2024. If handled by brick and mortar addition: • Mardela Middle / High - Addition and renovation project currently under construction will increase the SRC. *Note: The following schools were identified in the enrollments section of the EFMP as needing solutions but are not addressed above (see reason below). • Delmar - Capacity solutions are dependent upon the Bi-State Agreement. 273
