Wicomico County Public Schools | EFMP FY2026 NEXGEN STEM ACADEMY Students are identified in 5th grade and invited to participate in the NexGen program at Salisbury Middle School based on their interest in STEM discipline areas. WBMS BROADCASTING MEDIA STUDIES Students are identified in 5th grade and invited to participate in the signature program for grade 6 at Bennett Middle School. This year the program is welcoming its second cohort. This is an innovative educational initiative designed to immerse students in the dynamic world of communications and media. This specialized program offers a comprehensive curriculum that integrates traditional academic subjects with hands-on experiences in journalism, digital media, and effective communication skills. YOUNG BUSINESS LEADERS Empowering young minds through immersive education in business, marketing, and entrepreneurship, the Young Business Leaders Signature School Program hosted at Wicomico Middle School is committed to nurturing future leaders and innovators. Eligible students are identified in 5th grade for enrollment in the program beginning in 6th grade with enrollment continuing through 8th grade. Designed to provide a dynamic and immersive learning experience, the program aims to cultivate essential skills in young minds, preparing them for the ever-evolving world of commerce. Students will engage in hands-on activities, collaborative projects, and real-world simulations to develop a solid foundation in business concepts, marketing strategies, and entrepreneurial principles.
