FY 2026 Educational Facilities Master Plan

ELEMENTARY SOAR (SUMMER) Students will participate in an instructional day consisting of ELA and Math Intervention, STEM, and various fine arts including art, music, movement, and physical education along with a 30-minute lunch and 30-minute recess break. The program will be held at West Salisbury Elementary, Fruitland Intermediate, and Beaver Run Elementary. Free breakfast and lunch will be available for all participating students. Transportation will be available, but parents will be required to drop their child off/pick up at their current school to catch the bus. TITLE I SUMMER CRUISIN’ Summer Cruisin’ is an ELA, Math, STEM and Fine Arts summer learning opportunity for eligible elementary school students in Wicomico County Public Schools held at Prince Street Elementary. Students will participate in an instructional day consisting of ELA and Math Intervention, STEM, and various fine arts including art, music, movement, and physical education along with a 30-minute lunch and 30-minute recess break. Free breakfast and lunch will be available for all participating students. Transportation will be available, but parents will be required to drop their child off/pick up at their current school to catch the bus. WISE SUMMER CAMP (WICOMICO MIDDLE SCHOOL) A summer enrichment program designed for approximately 25 Wicomico Middle students, 25 Salisbury Middle students, and 25 Bennett Middle students in 6th – 8th grade. The program will provide hands-on enrichment tracks that explore future career opportunities and interests in areas such health and wellness, STEM, medical field, digital production, culinary arts, entrepreneurship, and the arts. Students will also participate in interest-based clubs, goal setting, social skill building activities, organized recreation and weekly field trips. The program will take place June 30-July 24, 2025 (Monday - Thursday from 8:30 - 2:15 PM) at Wicomico Middle School. Transportation (home only) and Food Services will be provided by Wicomico County Public Schools. MIDDLE SCHOOL SUMMER STEM CAMP Middle School Summer STEM Camp is a summer enrichment program designed for 6th – 8th grade Wicomico County students with a 2.5 GPA or higher. STEM camp runs for 3 weeks in the summer starting in July, Monday – Thursday, from 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM at Salisbury Middle School. The program provides weekly themes in the areas of engineering, robotics, STEAM, forensics, and more. Transportation home from the program as well as meals are provided by Wicomico County Public Schools. SUMMER SCHOOL SECONDARY Secondary Summer School is available to students in grades 6-12. Summer school will be free to all Wicomico County students. Classes are offered in English, mathematics, science, social studies for the purpose of obtaining credit for courses failed. High school Honors Summer Session classes, for original credit, are available for students entering grades 9–12 and include: Honors Algebra II, Honors Geometry and Honors Chemistry. Additional programs offered during Secondary Summer School include: secondary ESOL program, and middle school enrichment camps. The location for middle Summer School will be at Choices Academy and high will be at Schumaker Complex. 45
