FACILITY INVENTORY ANALYSIS 5.1 It is imperative that the EFMP provide the information necessary to make objective data driven decisions. The culmination of this data for our facilities can be found in the Facility Needs Indexes (found in the next section). These spreadsheets weight the critical facility data in order to better prioritize capital spending. The spreadsheets are composed of several key components, which will be defined in the following section: 1. FCI – Facility Condition Index a. An industry standard index that objectively measures the current condition of the facility (3rd party assessment). 2. U - Utilization a. A measure of a school’s capacity efficiency (FTE/State Rated Capacity). Assists in capturing the schools where we can have the greatest impact on the greatest number of students. The data for each of these categories can be found in figure 1 below. The schools are ranked 24-1 (24 total schools), with 1 representing the best school and 24 representing the worst school in that category. While each category is important, it is essential that the data be weighted in an objective manner that will help determine a priority order of where dollars should be spent.
