46 Wicomico High School Facility Needs 46.05.136 Special Initiatives - Science Initiative to upgrade and modernize science classrooms in all high schools. Project Description These funds would allow for the design and renovation of the existing science facilities. Upgrades may include but are not limited to upgraded cabinets for storage of supplies, lab space for students, sinks, goggle cabinet, eyewash station, lab preparation areas, chemical storage areas, and safety equipment. 46.06.445 Systemic Renovation - Lighting Systems Lighting systems and ceilings have passed their useful life in areas A through I. Upgrades are needed in order to provide adequate lighting levels and additional operational efficiencies. Project Description Upgrade lighting fixtures and associated ceilings that have exceeded their useful lives. Project includes electrical service upgrades and branch wiring as required to accommodate new lighting. 46.06.519 Systemic Renovation - Plumbing Wicomico High School is unique in that it is a large campus style school. Throughout the sprawling campus, the original domestic water piping is corroding from the inside out. Associated piping is becoming clogged with particles and with that, it is recommended that all of the interior and exterior (to the main) domestic water piping be replaced. Along the same lines, the original sewer piping continues to age with each passing year. These pipes shall be monitored and replaced when necessary. Project Description Working in phases, replace the original domestic and sewer piping throughout the school campus. A new design will be necessary to determine if the funding amount will be adequate. Total cost is an estimate only and must be adjusted based on design. 46.06.456 Systemic Renovation - Windows / Doors/ Hdwr The HVAC and roof at this location will be complete in 2025. As continuation of our systemic renovations program, the windows / doors / hardware are in need of replacement. Project Description Project includes all new exterior windows & doors. Re-key facility exterior doors & replace cylinders as necessary. Project Notes Project to also include classroom intruder lock upgrade and interbuilding lock system. Exterior doors have been retrofitted for MEDECO keys. Interior doors dating back to 1974 required extensive retrofitting to re-key.
