Wicomico County Public Schools | EFMP FY2027 MIDDLE SCHOOL SUMMER STEM CAMP Middle School Summer STEM Camp is a summer enrichment program designed for 6th – 8th grade Wicomico County students with a 2.5 GPA or higher. STEM camp runs for 3 weeks in the summer starting in July, Monday – Thursday, from 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM at Salisbury Middle School. The program provides weekly themes in the areas of engineering, robotics, STEAM, forensics, and more. Transportation home from the program as well as meals are provided by Wicomico County Public Schools. SUMMER SCHOOL SECONDARY Secondary Summer School is available to students in grades 6-12. Summer school will be free to all Wicomico County students. Classes are offered in English, mathematics, science, social studies for the purpose of obtaining credit for courses failed. High school Honors Summer Session classes, for original credit, are available for students entering grades 9–12 and include: Honors Algebra II, Honors Geometry and Honors Chemistry. Additional programs offered during Secondary Summer School include: secondary ESOL program, and middle school enrichment camps. The location for middle Summer School will be at Choices Academy and high will be at Schumaker Complex. WICOMICO COUNTY EVENING HIGH SCHOOL Wicomico County Evening High School is designed to increase opportunities for area residents to pursue and earn a Maryland High School Diploma. Wicomico Evening High School offers full-time evening and concurrent classes Monday - Thursday from September until May. Wicomico Evening High School also offers Online Learning Lab classes Monday - Friday. Acceptance may be granted after recommendation from the home school counselor and principal. Concurrent high school students can enroll in classes offered by Evening High School to earn credits towards graduation as an original credit or recovery credit. Students who have previously withdrawn from high school may be considered for enrollment if they are able to graduate by age 21. ONLINE LEARNING LAB via WICOMICO EVENING HIGH SCHOOL Online Learning Lab is a program requiring both in-person and online commitment which is only available to students enrolled in Evening High School. The students are enrolled in classes to obtain graduation status. The instruction is delivered through the Edmentum platform and monitored by a lab facilitator (certified teacher). The students attend during the day between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. for all in-person required time. 48
